hello I am planning to have a trip in Czech in winter time. Beacuse I prefer more natural places Can anyone give me some suggestions where to go especially in winter.. thank you a lot!
actually i am not good at doing outdoor sports...so.. I just wanna to visit some national parks or natural reserves. I can do some climbing but not too much..
I was hoping someone more knowledgeable would have posted an answer by now. The only things that come to my mind are the mountain regions Sumava (Southern Bohemia) a Krkonose (Nothern Bohemia). In Central Bohemia there is a picturesque region known as Cesky Raj (Czech Eden).
They ski in the winter not climb (snow) in the mountains. Considering large area of CR it would very much depend on what are you interested in and where are you going. There are many places around Prague, parks etc. which you can reach on public transporttion (incl. your Metro pass). It would be foolish to miss Prague and there are few other places like small medieval town of Cesky Krumlov which are simply magical (you need at least two nights). Depending on how much time (and your transportation)you have you can travel to small towns. you will need car if you are planning to see the mountains and out of towns in general. Visiting some Castles is also recommended. Good luck.
