I'm English/Danish, 22 years old, and obviously trying to learn czech.... Just for...ehem....fun... Hoyle.
Welcome It's going to be interesting you trying to explain to people why out of all languages you decided to learn czech for fun :wink: I've been doing it for the past few years and I still get incredulous looks But stick to it, it's a beautiful language though it can get exasperating at times.
I'm used to those looks. :wink: I'm quite the language geek ,have tried learning everything from Scottish Gaelic to Turkish, but never had the patience to finish it. However, I've decided that I want to move to the Czech Republic, so I'll have to learn the language. :wink: Edit: of course, that doesn't make it just for fun, but I'm moving to the Czech Republic "for fun" , and a part of that is the language.
