I have heard that a Czech version of Big Brother is currently performed and broadcast in the Czech Republic.
Two years ago, I watched a few episodes of the French version of this Scandinavian reality show, and found them boring except for one scene in which Jean-Édouard had sex with a beautiful blonde former strip-teaser in the swimming-pool.
    How is the Czech version?

Actually in Czech Republic far more popular reality show "VyVolení", it's very similar to Big Brother and it's aired on TV Prima. And it's Hungarian show.

It's just war between TV Nova (Big brother) and TV Prima (VyVolení). VyVolení launched two weeks sooner, so they caught a lot viewers and TV Nova is mad about it. The last Thursday's show had 1 896 000 viewers (VyVolení) and 659 000 viewers(Big Brother). So the VyVovelení have 3 times more viewers than Big Brother and the number is increasing! (VyVolení is more and more popular).

    Very interesting.
What are the major differences between VyVolení and Big Brother?

Big Brother - boring and stupid pornstars in one house which looks to be so lousy... It really is not fun to watch them talk about nothing or themselves...

VyVoleni - They have psychotic Regina, who acts like a complete weirdo. Then there are normal people (inteligent enugh to have feelings), so it is much more fun, because it is full of emotions...

The main technical diffrences between shows are:

Big brother have chosen competitors. People in Vyvoleni are selected by viewers. Then there are some minor differences. And Vyvoleni has more cosy house....

Big Brother, well I believe you either love it or you hate it. Personally, I can not stand the show  . Big Brother is also produced here on the Gold Coast of Australia and has run consecutively over the past few years. Without being ignorant here, why would anyone in their right state of mind want to watch a group of tedious and idiotic older teens deprived of their freedom, trying to sustain their virtue in an attempt to be rewarded with a place in a local media production?

It really is trash TV. Last night they aired Big Brother, the uncut version. Simply stated, mid 20's something trying to act like teens...

Filip was trashed for doing gay porn, and the girls are absolute low lifes. Sell your soul to find a career type stuff...sad to see...

It would seem that many devote their time to Big Brother solely to relinquish themselves in an hour of free-to-air teenage pornography (uncut episodes).
In fact, recently there have been formal complaints made against the airing of the uncut episodes, labelling them as "too extreme for television".

EDIT: here is one article regarding this:

Your article refers to your fellow Austrailians opinions of the show. Here, nudity and sexuality are taken lightly, which they should be. Ten years ago, the weather report in the afternoon was in a windows format: the center screen showed the forecast, while the side panels showed someone either getting undressed or dressed, of both genders.

I appreciate the fact that they are not as prudish as my fellow countrymen, which choose baggy clothing to hide their fat and dysfunctionalism....:} 8)

I assumed as much. Here, the show is equally as controversial, yet, the open sex is appreciated. I have watched a nation of open people, with healthy sexual values, turn into a nation of Americans (well, you know what I mean). I was in a swimming stadium and while in the locker room, I noted that the boys wrapped a towel around themselves, then tried to get their pants off and bathing suit on while the towel remained ( a logistical feat ) out of embarresment. How American....in 1991 people would drop their clothes in public without batting an eye (sometimes good, sometimes a shocker, especially if you've never seen a 80 year old woman naked). I was raised that way also, to cover your body at all times. It lead to a confusion over what is healthy activity and what is not...
the problem with this show is it has a dash of dysfunctionlism coupled with a "wanna be a Superstar, sell your soul and your body" approach...

Does anyone know what the music is that they use during Vyvoleni when they are leading up to the evictions? It's made up of repeating piano riffs, and the BBC use it quite often for football and other competitions on the radio.
