Is this a name anyone has heard of?

I am told that my name last name "Matoushek" is Czech. I have no way of knowing this because I don't know if the family split in 93 to Slovakia or resides in the Czech Republic. Has anyone heard, seen, knows of, or any other info about my last name "matoushek".

Matoušek (probably transformed to Matoushek for the phonetic reasons) is a very common Czech surname (according to brainweb, there are 5654 men and 5835 women bearing this surname in CR). It is a diminutive of the first name Matouš (Mathew).

 

As Jana said, your last name was Matoušek and I'm the one who bears this last name
