I am curious about kobylisy - how residential is it? Lots of green space or no? How long of a metro ride would you say it is from kobylisy or ladvi to the center? any other impressions appreciated too! thanks!

The schedule says 10 minutes from Kobylisy to Muzeum.

It depends on how much green space you consider a lot. In Kobilisy, there is a "residential" area, in the sense of the U.S. with private homes and more open space. This is on the west side of Kobylisy. There is also a concrete jungle (aka Sídliště Ďáblice) to the east, with enormous apartment buildings (panelaky). This is perhaps more of a "residential" area in the Czech sense. There still are trees, even in the concrete jungle. There's also a good-sized park to the north. Here's an aerial view from mapy.cz.
