    Hi there,

I learnt Czech all in all for about 2 years in my spare time - however, it is about a year ago that I stopped and I'm shocked how very fast one forgets.

This about the most important sentences of all ;) If I order a large beer I was under the impression that it's got to be "Jednou velky pivo" - and not "jedno" - but I can't find any proof of this. Am I right??
    Dekuji! :)

"Jednou/Jedenkrát velký pivo" = "Once big beer"
"Jedno velký pivo" = "One big beer"

    Both can be ;)

    Hi Audrey,

I'd say "jedno... pivo" is grammatically correct, "jednou... pivo" is substandard, but fairly commonly used (no oxymoron meant).

"Velký pivo" is informal (nespisovně) while the formal form (spisovně) is "velké pivo"...
