Prague River Cruises on the Vltava

Seeing Prague from the river is a unique experience. The historical center with its famous monuments presents itself from a different perspective and unusual angles. On the longer cruises, you will go by several islands on the Vltava. You’ll find yourself on a stretch of the river that lets you see a part of the embankment you probably would not otherwise visit. One of our favorite cruises is a short boat ride down the charming Čertovka Channel (Prague’s little “Venice”) after dark and seeing Charles Bridge from the water all lit up.

The cruises below are offered through our partner GetYourGuide. You will book directly on the GetYourGuide website and we will receive a small commission from them at no cost to you, which helps to support our work on this website. Thank you!

See all Prague cruises and water tours or choose from the selection below.

1. Short Cruises

Take a break from Prague’s busy streets and spend an hour or two on a cruise down the Vltava River or the Devil’s Channel (Čertovka). Sit back and relax while admiring the architecture and monuments of central Prague from the river. You can cool off on the water on a hot summer day and enjoy your cruise on a heated boat in the winter.

2. Cruises with Lunch

Enjoy lunch on a boat while admiring Prague’s beautiful sights. You can opt for a 2-hour boat ride or combine a sightseeing tour with a short cruise.

3. Cruises with Dinner

Take an evening cruise on the Vltava River with dinner on board. Dinner cruises are very popular with Prague visitors. They combine a leisurely meal, live music, and sightseeing from the comfort of a boat. In the fall and winter when the sun sets early, the monuments in central Prague are lit up, which only adds to their charm.
