Czech Wooden Toys

The Czech Republic is known for its traditional handmade wooden toys. The history of the Czech wooden toy craft goes back hundreds of years. Wooden toys are still popular in Czechia for their simple charm and durability. They come in many different shapes and forms from pull toys and fun moving toys to puzzles, wooden bird mobiles, or toy cars.

Dřevěný svět hraček (The Wooden World of Toys)

This store is overflowing with all kinds of Czech wooden toys and games, some of which go back generations. Many of the toys are made by small Czech manufacturers, so you can find some unusual and original pieces. The store is not located downtown but it is on the route of tram 22. They also have an e-shop.

Agátin svět (Agatha’s World)

Agátin svět was started by two moms who weren’t altogether happy with the standard fare offered by today’s toy stores. They personally select quality wooden toys for their multiple stores and e-shop. These are both Czech-made and foreign wooden toys.
