Český Krumlov in 2009
Český Krumlov has a number of cultural events
throughout the year including music festivals, film festivals and
holiday markets. Two major events are listed below. You

The atmosphere of the Renaissance celebrations
spreads throughout the entire historical center. Sounds of medieval
music resonate can be heard in the center of town and its
narrow lanes are filled with various conjurers and swordsmen. Stalls
are set up and the packed tavern on the main square emanates
singing as well as a delicious smell of roasted meat. Český Krumlov
has been transformed into a living history festival.
The festival, which takes place each year
at the end of end of June and beginning of July, opens
the local music season It is the longest running classic
music festival in Český Krumlov.
In celebration of its maturity and the honourable 700th anniversary of the Town of Český Krumlov the 18th International Music Festival Český Krumlov has prepared a remarkable birthday menu consisting of 20 concerts and performances. |
