The popular spa town of Karlovy
Vary (Carlsbad) was founded around 1350 by Charles IV. The
town's visitors have included kings and presidents, poets and
writers, scientists, philosophers and other famous personalities,
as well as many representatives of the world film industry who
come here as guests of the International
Film Festival held every year in July. You will start
your tour by visiting the renowned
Moser Glass Factory. You will then
have a traditional Czech lunch at the Hotel Thermal. After lunch,
you will have about 2.5 hours to walk on your own, enjoy some fresh spa
wafers, sample the curative springs that line the colonnades,
and even take a swim in an open-air hotel swimming pool filled
with natural thermal water (included in the price). After arriving
back in Prague, you will be dropped off on Old Town Square or,
if a large bus is used, at the Hotel Intercontinental
located within a 10-minute walk from Old Town Square.
